'Fighting Fedor' Reality Show: Worst Idea Ever?
Image They have a funny way of looking at things over at M-1 Global.  By funny, of course, I mean stupid.  That’s the only explanation for their latest endeavor, a reality show where sixteen fighters compete for the chance to face Fedor Emelianenko.  Oh yeah, they also seem to think that this is a new idea.

I can’t tell you what’s going on inside the minds of the M-1 Global executives.  Apparently unsatisfied with being a Fedor rental operation disguised as a fight promotion, they’re now endeavoring to tread ground already broken by their predecessors, only they want to do a much sloppier job of it.  Judging by this promo video, at the very least M-1 Global promises to succeed at making The Ultimate Fighter seem like award-winning television.

Will the unthinkable happen at Tank vs. Kimbo?

And by “unthinkable,” we mean –- you know –- grappling.

We have a funny feeling about this fight, if only because we’ve been around MMA long enough to know that things don’t ever seem to go planned, especially in big fights. We understand that everyone is expecting Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson and David “Tank” Abbott to “stand and bang,” during their upcoming bout at EliteXC “Street Certified,” on Feb. 16, and maybe they will. But we also wouldn’t be surprised to see one of these two competitors take this fight to the floor in the early going, either.

And we expect that competitor to be Kimbo Slice. Sound crazy? Maybe, but consider our hypothesis.
